Ryan DuFour

Room 214

Ryan DuFour is an ELA/ESL teacher at Sharpstown High School.  He is a veteran teacher with almost eight years of experience, having served seven of those years at Sharpstown High School.

Mr. DuFour received his Bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University.  He earned his Master's in Education from Walden University.  He is currently finishing his Principal Certification Program at Sam Houston State University.  In addition to teaching this year, Mr. DuFour is currentyly completing an internship ans working for a non-profit organization for charter schools.

He is an enthusiastic Texans fan and loves all sports.  He enjoys reading and writing as hobbies.  For as long as he can remember, writing has been his release.  It has given him a chance to escape into the worlds he has created:  the characters became his confidants, the language his music.  Mr. DuFour realizes that some of the greatest works fo literature emerge out of hardships, but he also knows that great writers can grow and develop in programs like the ELA department at Sharpstown High School.  With heavy attention to reading and writing in his classroom, all of his students can be shaped into the readers and writers they might want to become.
